Our long-time bridal seamstress has decided to retire, and while we will miss her very much, we support and thank her for her many wonderful years of service.
So with heavy hearts, we inform our customers that we can no longer alter wedding gowns. Our store has crafted a list of area seamstresses you can contact to make arrangements for your bridal alterations. We have a seamstress on site to alter prom, mothers, and bridesmaid dresses purchased from our shop.
What if I need alterations on a gown that was not purchased at Bonjulies?

Other bridal shops have told me I can’t take any photos, do you allow them at your store?

How do I adjust my bridesmaid order if I think I might be pregnant?
We recommend ordering two sizes larger to accommodate for the baby bump.
Why do you wait to order all of the bridesmaids’ dresses at one time?
We order them as a group to ensure the quality of the color. If they are ordered together, they are cut from the same dye lot of fabric. This assures all parties involved that your dresses will be the same color tone.
When do the tuxedos come in that we have ordered for my wedding or prom?
The tuxedos are scheduled to be delivered the Wednesday before your event. But if they do come early we will be sure to give you a call!
How does the alteration process work?
Alterations are scheduled by appointment-only. As soon as you have your shoes and undergarments give us a call and we will get you in as soon as possible.
What should I bring to my alteration appointment?
When you are fitted you will need everything with you that you are wearing the day of your special event. The most important purchase to make before your appointment is SHOES. Your hem is pinned according to the heel you are wearing that day. Also, your bra and undergarments change the way your dress fits your body. To ensure a perfect fit, you will need to be wearing these garments during your fitting. Not to worry, we stock the best bras and cups. We also carry most of the top shoe brands available. If you need more information, give us a call.
How long does it take to order shoes and accessories?
Shoes and jewelry usually take no more than four weeks. Quite often these are stocked items that can ship right away.
Do I have to bring my dress home until I have alterations?
No. We are happy to keep your gown in the store until your final pick up day.
Will you press my wedding gown?

Where do you recommend that I have my gown cleaned and/or preserved?
We use a company that we love. We recommend that you bring your gown in after the wedding as soon as you can. The sooner you get it back to us the better. We give our brides a $20 discount.
When I shop for my bridal gown, is it ok to come alone?
It is perfectly fine for you to come alone and, in fact, many ladies do this. As much as we love our family and friends, sometimes too many opinions can be overwhelming. We recommend that you keep your party small while shopping in order to be most effective, positive and fun. While shopping for bridesmaids dresses, it can work well for you to bring a couple girlfriends and just have fun.
Do you buy back prom or wedding gowns?
Because each gown in custom to fit the original owner and hold their own memories, we DO NOT buy gowns.
What do I do about bridesmaids and groomsmen that are out of town?
We deal with this on a daily bases. Simply ask the out of town members to go to reputable store near them and ask for measurement. This is most often done at no charge.
